Freedom, Abundance and Celebration
Well hello everyone,
Wow, these months just are slipping up on me faster than ever before. But nevertheless, it is so good that you have joined us today. I pray that our words here today will be one of encouragement bringing joy and hope to those who may be struggling. Also, to add a boost of hope and joy to those who are in a good season of their life.
July has always been an exciting month of the year for adults and children equally. Representing the themes of freedom, abundance, warmth, and celebration it sends us on our way with emotions of happiness, joy, and excitement.
With the year already halfway through, many of us use this month to reflect on our goals, evaluate our progress, and reset our intentions.
As last month ended and the new month began, I found myself sitting in the middle of a large medical Clinic in one of the bigger cities. It was overwhelming to say the least.
As I looked around me, I saw so many people in need. Needs so much greater than mine. I just suddenly stopped right in the middle of the area as I felt so ashamed. Ashamed of myself for all the complaining I had done over the past few months because looking around me —- I had nothing at all to complain about.
I stood there whispering a prayer for forgiveness of my selfishness and then I spoke the name of Jesus over each and everyone there and their families. My heart was very heavy. I do not understand why bad things happen. But they do to all of us at times in our lives, some things worse than others. Only God knows the why’s, but I do know that He is not the author of bad things and he will use what satan means for bad and turn it around for good. I believe with all my heart that there are blessings in every situation or circumstance we may have to look a little harder at times to find them, but they are there.
This encounter at the clinic certainly opened my eyes to re-evaluate my intentions, to choose to live with a greater purpose, to enjoy the present moments without complaining, to pray for more strength in the challenging times and to be grateful for all my blessings.
As we celebrate the month of July let us do it together. Let us begin with smiles on our faces and love in our hearts for everyone, yes even those who are hard to love.
Truth, is we do not know what someone else is dealing with in their own lives, we just need to share the love of Jesus with them. To let them know they are not alone.
All of us are blessed to be a blessing, which is one of the main reasons I created this blog. In sharing our stories, we are blessing others. Others who are hurting and would not reach out in person can be reached and touched through this blog.
It is my prayer that this community of ladies will be intentional in sharing this blog with others, as a community that encourages and uplifts others. That we will be more active in sharing our stories, stories of good things, blessings that only God could do, I like to call them “my God stories.” Please just take the time to think back and I know you will find at least one, right? Then please share it. Someone can relate.
There are so many out there in need of a kind word, a prayer, just to know there are others who care about them.
Let us be the ones to help finish the year out sharing the abundance and favor of God with others.
The Bible says (Psalm 139:14) You are fearfully (awesome, with care, reverence, intention) and wonderfully (extraordinary, marvelous, unique) made. Do you know why? Because God wants us to show the world around us how wonderful He is.
And He is indeed Wonderful!
It is all a choice to be made, so let’s choose to look up instead of dwelling on what surrounds us. Let’s choose JOY, HOPE, and Love. And in the sharing, we will find peace and gratitude in our own lives.
Lighting the path of faith together one story at a time.
God Bless
With Love,
REBAMAC
